Painful thoughts crash ashore
As feeling slowly erodes away
Every image burns into my mind
For fear this could be the last

Every kiss stings sweetly
And your words echo through caves
Filled with shadows and evil
Where light may never break

Streams of sorrow flow quietly
As the salt interests my lips
Defeat infests my very self
At the movement of your lips

An awkward smile makes charades
You kiss the hate away
And I’m gazing toward the stars
For some solace from another lost

My heart is sinking slowly
In this vast serene
I’m lost inside your beauty
Tell me what it means?

I’m taken by my senses
To your sweet surreal
Nothing seems to matter
Hidden in perfect conceal

I’d give my life to love you
Can you understand?
Sorrows and doubts behind us
Nothing goes as planned

I wish that I could hear you
Whispers in my ear
I would die just to hold you
For just one moment so near

The morrow proves no better

Falling out of myself

But you could have it all

Voices cry out with pity
They run within my ears
They could never understand
They’ll never know my tears

You strive so hard,
To see what’s not there.
You begin conjure,
As you sit there and stare

Of glory and riches,
And greatness of all kind,
But what you are really seeing
Is only your mind.

Still you move left and right,
To get a better view,
Of the great glory and power,
That only exists in you.

Your blind faith has taken you,
And from that comes no relief.
But pain and sorrow,
Lay still at your feet.

But those who seek,
The truth behind it all,
They have true riches
They shall not fall.

For the answers lie,
Not in the answers themselves,
But in the question asked,
Just look within yourself.
