Shaded Heart

The winds of life blow
across the oceans of my heart;
changing love to ice
deep beneath unfurling days.

What ship can traverse
these cold and uncharted thoughts?
Who can navigate
when the stars have all disappeared?

A new moon rises;
its pale hope glistening silently
on these shaded sails.
But soon it too is gone.

I dreamed another dream of you
lost within this amazon night.
The leaves softly amplify the rain
and my heart beats just as fast.

In the distant shadows I see your face,
a refuge to this chaotic land.
And all my hope comes rushing forward
as you stand there on the rising mist.

Your beauty exceeds all the Earth,
and the trees sway with jealousy.
The rain clings desperately to your hair
as all the birds sing your name.

In this motionless surrender,
my heart bleeds out for you.
Your eyes burn into mine,
evoking my every drop of love.

Hesitantly, I approach your splendor.
Your smile showing your approval.
The raucous landscape draws a silence;
my mind knows only you.

I dare to touch your loving lips
and glide my hands down your shoulders.
Your scent is of the sweetest flower.
Your taste above the ripest fruit.

My mind is lost to define you
as my whole world converges to one.
I resolve to never leave this paradise,
but once again I awake alone.

In the essence of a moment
Shade and brilliance meet
Intertwined into such beauty
The aura of a soul

The stillness persues
Where loss and gain ceases
And a dim light shines
Warming this shaded heart

This silent surrender
Pefect love knows no other
So death and life are one

The moon reveals itself to the sky

The shadows slowly fade behind the moon
As the waters calmly die upon the shores
The stars reflect a heavenly sensation
Whose rejoice compared is nothing to mine

The clouds of time stand motionless in awe
Marveled at your every little beauty
A match of two even heaven can’t define

And if the entire world had ended tonight
